Wausau Nordic Ski Club ~ Under Construction

We, as Wausau Nordic Skiers, are volunteer-diverse people with a common interest in the sport of cross country skiing. We are both competitive racers and weekend social skiers - a complete spectrum of individuals consisting of families, singles, youths and seniors from all social spheres.

The Wausau Nordic Ski Club was formed in 1972 to establish, maintain and promote safe cross country skiing through projects contributing to growth and advancement of the sport.

Our Ski Club is committed to providing opportunities for all ages to experience the joy of cross country skiing. Click on the link below to go to a complete overview of each program

  • Night Gliders (ages 9 thru 14 &/or 8th grade) Classical & Skate Techniques - ideally graduates of the Snow Striders or Learn to Ski programs, but will consider those new to skiing

  • Adult Training Group
An adult Nordic ski training group is being formed this winter with the emphasis primarily on physical conditioning in a fun, social atmosphere.  While some technique work may occur, technique will not be the primary focus of the group.  As of right now, it is planned to occur Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m at the 9-mile chalet.  If you are interested in more information or providing suggestions for days and/or times, please join the Facebook group “Wausau Nordic Ski Club Adult Training Group” or email Ernie Luedke (This email address is being protected from spambots.
